Welcome to Richard Schooping. I am grateful beyond expression for this breath to sing. I made it through my suffering and now I am so honored that you are here and that I may now share my music with you.

New CD Song Demos

2010-new-site-header

I wrote, recorded and mastered my first CD, "This Song We Sing" and I am now seeking musicians who resonate with the universal love that I am expressing to develop a live Kirtan show.  I am ready to play. Let me also share that this first CD is not my only style of musical expression as my sound is expanding and also simplifying so that the new songs are translatable for performing.

Yes; this first CD is a cohesive collection of inspirational songs, but this is intended to be just one of the musical styles presented in my shows.  And, I am open to expanding the songs of the first CD as well. Chant and flavors of India are integral to who I am what I now express, and I am excited to work with others towards weaving a Universal sound.

I am open to organically expanding this CD's sound with those with whom I collaborate.  I am open.  I am currently doing everything now because this is  just the way it is.  Contact me and let's see what we can do together.

May LOVE utilize this vehicle to bring light into the world.

Thank you God.

Love and light, Blessings, OM

Truly, all of my heart,

Richard

From Suffering to Soaring Book CoverFrom Suffering to Soaring

Here is my book sharing my grueling journey in, out, and beyond AIDS, or what I share now is AIDS Consciousness.  Within these pages are the steps that I took to transcend my fears of life and death, my depresion, my guilt, my anger, my addictions, my material and spiritual attachments and more.  When we transcend AIDS we also transcend all our suffering.

This book offers simple insights as to how we create our suffering in our lives and how we may then through this understanding unknow our suffering to realize our oneness.

In this book I share that from the depth of any misery we may follow the light of our heart to a peace and wholeness beyond description.

I awoke from my suffering and now offer this light to you.

Book is available through Lulu Publishing or amazon.com

"i read your book a few days ago, almost all in one sitting, & i've been letting it sink in.
it's difficult for me to organize my thoughts because it brought about such a shift for me. first of all, the alchemy is stunning--you have spun suffering into light!

secondly, your use of the body as a door & a grounding--for me, this is an epiphany. i had turned to advaita simply to find an explanation for the spontaneous samadhis i've experienced throughout my life. however, the ignore-the-body teaching did not resonate for me, probably because i have been quite sick for most of my life (heavy exposure to ddt as a baby). pretending the body is not there when you are in excruciating pain & feeling the attendant terror, just does not work for some of us.
& third, your mention of doing vipassana meditation, something to which i was casually introduced years ago & loved but then abandoned, clicked. i started it again & it is wonderful.
there is much more. it is such a profound layered book. i'll be posting some quotes from it on my FB status from time to time--if you don't mind.
i thank you for your beauty & grace & love & inspiration. you are a great blessing for me." - Irene Harvey
